Thomas P. Dwyer – Founding Principal & Chief Executive Officer

Thomas P. Dwyer is the Principal Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FinQlusion International, LLC. Mr. Dwyer has more than 24 years’ experience at the intersection of international development and global financial services. He has extensive related experience in bridging the formal financial markets and financial services with clients in the developing and emerging markets in Africa, Asia, and Central and Eastern Europe. As a Financial Service Executive, he advised, managed, serviced and coordinated total financial portfolios over $100 million. He has successfully led and managed global international organizations that provided income generation, micro-finance services, business development services and other services to under-served populations with large, diverse global staff, operations and revenues of over $350 million from various public, private and multi-lateral sources. His progressive global leadership and expertise culminated in the founding of FinQlusion International, LLC in early 2016 to synthesize his passion for the provision of inclusive financial and intermediary services for the base of the pyramid individuals, households and microenterprises in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe.

Mr. Dwyer holds a Master of International and Intercultural Management and a Bachelors of International Studies from the School for International Training, Brattleboro, VT.

Melissa Lloyd – Director, Africa

Melissa Lloyd is the Director of Africa for FinQlusion International, LLC. Ms. Lloyd has worked over 15 years across non-and for-profit sectors to build opportunities for entrepreneurs in frontier and emerging markets. Melissa has focused her career on bridging global plans and policies with local market realities to increase the efficacy of every socially minded dollar.

Melissa holds extensive experience working across Africa to build and formalize value chains for rural markets through smart funding mechanisms, assessing, and building strong organizational management. She has worked with multi-and bi-laterals, international corporations, governments, international non-governmental organizations, as well as local stakeholders and micro-enterprises. She has successfully led organizations on the frontier of providing livelihoods, financial inclusion services, value chain development, and building household incomes across Africa.

Melissa was educated at Texas A&M University (BS) and Leicester University, England (MA).

Nino Kalandia – Director, Eastern Europe

Ms. Nino Kalandia is a results-oriented financial professional with over 10 years of progressive experience Eastern Europe in financial management, accounting and audit. She possesses significant experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting principles, budget preparation, planning and review, taxation, and cash management. She brings strong analytical and problem solving skills, accompanied by a strong work ethic and attention to detail, resulting in insightful and value-added actionable options for clients. She has a proven track record of resourcefulness in the completion of projects, effective at multi-tasking with excellent communication and team-building skills.

Ms. Kalandia holds a Master in Information Technologies of Management and a Bachelor of Computer Science from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. She is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Judith Santiago – Communications & Development Manager

Ms. Judith Santiago is the Communications and Development Manager for FinQlusion International, LLC. Ms. Santiago brings 12 years of public relations experience, securing national and trade media coverage and executive speaker platforms for C-level executives at financial services organizations that have ranged from major credit card providers to accounting firms to investment firms. She also has more than nine years of nonprofit humanitarian experience with expertise in multimedia content creation, story and video development, communications strategy and training. Her work has received several Awards of Excellence honors from Religion Communications Council and United Methodist Association of Communicators.

In her travels to rural and remote parts of Africa, Asia, and Caucasus regions, Ms. Santiago observed firsthand the benefits of community development and grassroots training that sustain people’s livelihoods each day. It is this experience coupled with her diverse communications background that fuels her passion for promoting the delivery of financial services to under-served populations.

Ms. Santiago is also an ordained minister at Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. in East Harlem, New York, where she serves as the Director of Outreach Ministries, training ministers to train others in various types of community outreach, and in providing basic needs for the most vulnerable people in the community. She also serves on the church’s Missions board to assist in funding for local and global mission projects.
